Theme: “Navigating Conflicts and Global Challenges”

Date: August 21st, 2026

Rationale

In an era of escalating geopolitical tensions, climate change, and complex global crises, international security and environmental challenges have become increasingly interconnected. Contemporary conflicts now extend beyond traditional military dimensions to include resource scarcity, environmental degradation, migration, and social injustice, requiring multidisciplinary and globally informed responses.

The 5th International Conference on International Security and the Environment (ISE 2026), themed “Navigating Conflicts and Global Challenges” provides an international platform for academicians, university professors, and graduate students to engage in critical dialogue and knowledge exchange. The conference addresses key issues such as peace and conflict resolution, global governance, ecological and energy security, sustainable development, environmental migration, and gender and environmental justice, while encouraging ethical and critical perspectives.

Hosted in Chiang Mai, Thailand, ISE 2026 highlights regional insights within global debates and aims to strengthen academic collaboration, enhance research dissemination, and contribute to policy-relevant discussions on emerging security and environmental challenges.
